Island things to know
No microwave
Salt air breaks them in three months. The stovetop is fully stocked and works perfectly.
Open air building
You may see the occasional bug — the exterminator comes monthly. It's just island life.
Hot water in the shower
Older building, totally normal for Luquillo. It works great.
Lively beach town
You'll hear music, especially on weekends. That's the point of being here.
Generator & backup water
Power and water outages are rare in the town center — but we're ready if it happens.
